Thorns

Kage Baker got migraines. A lot.

I get them too. Not a lot, only now and then. But I have one now.

I am peering at the world through black and silver thorns – amazingly decorative, really – and feeling sick.

So I am going to bed.

Goo night.

About Kate

I am Kage Baker's sister. Kage was/is a well-known science fiction writer, who died on January 31, 2010. She told me to keep her work going - I'm doing that. This blog will document the process.

I hope you feel better soon. Migraines are horrid. I get the kind where I see fluttering black fringe in my peripheral vision and my eyeballs feel like they’re filled with shards of glass.

I am mercifully pain free, usually. I just see the most elegant black and silver “fortification patterns” ever – sort of faerie tale Goth. If I could reproduce them in a knitted pattern, I’d make a fortune!
